Cultivation Technician
Summary of the Role: The Cultivation Technician is responsible for supporting and executing daily operations within the Cultivation Department in alignment with company initiatives and production goals. This role follows established company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable state and local laws and regulations while maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality cultivation environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily cultivation operations, including repopulating, harvesting, and cleaning flowering rooms and trays.
- Perform canopy management, routine flowering room maintenance, and complete required systems checklists.
- Manage crop steering practices, airflow, and drip irrigation systems to support optimal plant health and yield.
- Use scales and measurement tools to accurately collect and record cultivation data.
- Monitor, manage, and report on plant health, soil moisture levels, and environmental metrics.
- Scout for pests, pathogens, and system irregularities; report findings promptly and take appropriate action in accordance with SOPs.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Follow all cultivation-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality.
- Participate in ongoing cultivation training and continuing education programs provided by the company.
- Safely operate industrial equipment, including shredders and scissor lifts, in accordance with safety protocols.
- Perform work on scaffolding, ladders, and in confined or low-clearance spaces as required by the role.
- Support pesticide applications as assigned, including completing required respirator fit testing, proper PPE use, safe mixing and application of approved sprays per SOP, and accurate completion of spray logs/documentation.
- Housekeeping: Support the cleanliness and organization of the facility in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient, compliant, and patient-focused operations.
Position Requirements:
- Experience in any relevant trades, including horticulture, food handling, etc.
- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in any relevant trades, including horticulture, food handling, etc.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to work within the OH MMCP
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.

- Ability to work around plants
- Work can be dirty/sticky and may leave you smelling like cannabis at the end of the day.
- Work will be in a warehouse setting: temperatures may vary from warm to cool.
- Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, noise, high humidity, bright lights, and C02 supplementation
